The History of Majin Planet

Perfect Cell

Well where do I begin? Well Majin Planet has had a long run and lot of shit has happen over the years. So much stuff in fact I can't even cover it all here. One of the reasons I start the Wiki Project so that it could be covered. Anyway's as you can see this is the long run of Majin Planet's past. Many would say that today Majin Planet is nothing more then a ghost of its old self, trying to hold on to a legacy that died long ago. Well that may be true, but I think there is still more stories to be told and while there are fans who enjoy watching Majin Planet's music videos and visits our forums, there will always be a Majin Planet. For all I know a year from now I could be long gone and Majin Trunks could be back. Who knows what the future will bring us.

A Legacy Begins

Majin Planet open it's door to the public on December 13th 1999 by founder Majin Mebs. Majin Planet back then was a very simple Dragonball Z Fan site. Featuring Music Videos Reviews, Dragonball Information and even Fan Fictions. At one point it start to host it's own music videos. The first of many would be "Die my Darling" by Majin Mebs.

There is Hope

Trunks Hope first came around the time of when Majin Trunks' RPG site died down and he was out of school. Once he decided to close it down and open a real web site, hope was born in the name of Trunks, being his favorite character the name was easy after that. Trunks Hope was born. And the Thunder Rolls

Corrupted Avatar opens his web site which becomes known as Saiyan Thunder. As you can guess Saiyan Thunder was a DBZ Fan site with some information and some music videos. While it may not have been remember for most of what it was, it did being some great things and what Corrupted Avatar did for Majin Planet will never be forgotten.

Re launch

Trunks Hope finally reopen again after it had close down for a while. However it would not last.

The Flame Dims

Majin Planet had start to show it's age and as more time past it became less active and its webmaster Majin Mebs also start to lose interest in the site itself. It seem to be the end for Majin Planet.

The Fight Club

It would have been the end if it had not been for the Fight Club, with the fight club things start to pick back up. The first ever Fight Club was hosted on Saiyan Thunder and was first of its kind back in the day as it came to online Anime Music Video completions.

Evolution

As things start to roll more with Majin Planet once again, long time staff member Corrupted Avatar finally became the webmaster of the site. Saiyan Thunder and Majin Planet became one web site, bring the Fight Club. This pulled the site into a new beginning.

Dark Times Return

Corrupted Avatar start to fall into the same trap as Majin Mebs in the form of not being able to keep up with the brandwidth cost from the server. With no hope of the site being able to keep up with the large amount of bandwidth that power Majin Planet the site fell into another dark time. There was little hope the site would make a come back.

Hope Returns'

A new staff member to Majin Planet, Prince Majin Trunks who had been a long time fan of the site talk to the webmaster, Corrupted Avatar about bring Majin Planet to a new host that had the power and ability to keep up with the media that Majin Planet held. Corrupted Avatar fully agree with it and together they where able to bring Majin Planet into a new age.

The Passing of the Crown

As with Majin Mebs, Corrupted Avatar also became less active with the site and finally past the site to Majin Trunks, along with more responsibility. Soon after Corrupted Avatar call it quits making Majin Trunks the official Webmaster of Majin Planet.

Two Years of Change

Over the two years Majin Trunks was in full control, the web site change many times. Majin Trunks took his time working on what he thought fans want. To bring back the old music video, running the Fight Club, King of the Hill and more. It was in this time the most famous of banners became known for it being over used. Some layouts even had dual versions which allowed fans to choose form using a frame base layout to a simple php script. But with all things Majin Trunks too felt the long pull of running Majin Planet.

Nearing the End

Not willing to fall the same way the last two webmasters had Majin Trunks try everything he could. Nothing seem to work. He past the site on to different people to keep the site going and to give it a new look each time, but soon after they too gave up and past it back to Majin Trunks. Finally the site start to go under mass changes to where it wasn't Majin Planet anymore. Even as far as making it a Harry Potter Forum. None of it lasted and each time it would return to the regular Majin Planet.

Copycat

As soon as Majin Planet's reign at the topic finally was coming to an end, Majin Trunks and Abisue (the web host) had a confrontation, this result in Majin Planet being drop and the domain being held hostage. Majin Trunks friend, Srr3ak of Perfect Anime bought a new domain for the site. Soon after things got work out with the host and Majin Planet was back.

This did not go well with Str3ak who then decided to open his own version of Majin Planet that would be bigger and better. This topic was discussed greatly on The-Cnews, as the debate with on Str3ak never went threw with opening his version of Majin Planet.

Black Monday

This was the dead stick for Majin Planet, Majin Trunks had try everything he could think of and still problem after problems. Finally on the 5th anniversary of Majin Planet he call it quits. Majin Planet closed it's doors never to open again.

Just Not the Same

After Majin Planet official closed, Majin Trunks still try to run a web site, after attempting to move the Fight Club on DB Unlimited, he finally open a new site called Samurai Spirit. Due to the high propaganda from another web site Ani-CC this site was pushed over well by fans. However Majin Trunks never felt right now it and soon after it went off line to be reopen later. It never happen, soon after Majin Trunks open his own AMV Studio. But more and more the feeling that was Majin Planet wasn't the same.

The Empire

At last the touch was past to the right person in the form of Darth Unrivaled. After a failed shot to bring the site back early 2005 causing the site to fall into a blank of darkness for over a year. But a unlike webmaster with a big job ahead of him was able to pull things threw and rebuild what was once known as Majin Planet. Threw the short lived Network of Banshee Force, Majin Planet, and more to the Merge of them all, to the brand split of Majin Planet Productions and Majin Planet Generations to a remerged into the Majin Planet we now see today.

Forgotten Threw Time

As time past, Majin Trunks and Majin Planet grew apart. The ghost that was Majin Planet hang in the background as the new Majin Planet pushed forward into the future. While the old days may be forever gone, the legacy it left behind will not be forgotten. It's some times hard to move on and let what's old die in the past. Some times it can be a good thing. Majin Planet was and is one of if not the best Dragonball Z Music Video site ever. I think it's only right to say that the best is up to public opinion, the site's attitude is like that of a Majin: a cocky SOB who feels they can do no wrong and still have people like them .. and if people don't, no big deal.
