Error in blog, Status

So everyone knows, I know the layout in the blog doesn’t work right in IE6 and IE7. You may be wondering to yourself why I haven’t bother to fix it yet. The real question should be why are you use IE to look at the site. The truth is, I don’t think the blog gets that much traffic anyways to where someone would be annoyed by it. Maybe that’s why? Well when I get the time, and in the mood I’ll fix it the best I can. Why can’t IE be like FireFox?

Well here is something I think is funny, Unlike other sites who lie about their traffic status (oh yeah we get like 10 million a day, blah, blah). In this sites prime (before me that is) I’m told the top visitors (that’s one user a day not how many times they visit) was 1800 per day. Do the math yourself and that’s lot for a little old dbz site. So what does the site do to day? Well for the year of 2006 we did an avg of about 250-300 visitors per day. I don’t have the numbers as I changed host and never kept track of monthly traffic. In 2007 it went up about 50 per day, to an avg of 300-325 or so. Again don’t have the info to back it up.

This year so far the traffic has been going up and up. Last I check (which was last night) we’ve been doing more then 800 per day. One day I think we even got like 900 something. On avg I say about 550 per day, which isn’t bad. I mean its not like I spend money on marketing or getting links. Hell I stop doing that in 2005, a few times I have but each time I do it doesn’t really help. So other then I’ve focus the site more to a DBZ site, which by the traffic increases tells me that’s what they wanted or maybe its because I’ve posted more Dragonball Movie news then any other DBZ fan site and people have noticed.

The truth is why those have factors, only about an effect of 10% I say. The real traffic is coming from those little quizes we have. Which are two, a naruto and dbz quiz. Each of which where made by Majin Trunks. If my math is right I say a good 40% of our traffic comes form bookmarks, direct links, search engines and the other 60% comes from those back links from those quizes. So what does this mean? Well I’ve notice that people have been searching the site for others. So I will start working on new ones. If anything this is a hint people that if you ask me to do something, 9 out of 10 times I’ll try, so don’t be afraid to send me feedback. I don’t bite after all, if anything I’m the most lay back webmaster you will ever meet. Unlike those drama queens we have out there now (giving us all a bad name) I’m more old school, think Majin Planet, DBZSC, Dragonball Unlimited pre Kid Buu saga (2002-2003) style.

And yes this was another one of my long post, so deal with it. And yes when the day comes that we get over 9,000 visitors a day I will be posting “WHAT 9,000!” comments, lol
