Ultimate Series: Legacy’s Past

Majin Planet’s history is long and well got some great thngs about it. While lot of what went on, news, comments and posting is much lost and only remember by those who took part in it. We hope to bring the new generation of fans and supporters even closer to that legacy that is Majin Planet.

From the man himself: Majin Planet believes it is a good DBZ site however; the best is up to public opinion, the site’s attitude is like that of a Majin: a cocky SOB who feels the can do no wrong and still have people like them .. and if people don’t, no big deal.

Those words by MajinMebs, and even today that disclaimer still stands and means even more so today. When the community Majin Planet crew up in became filled with hackers, rippers and people who would rather rip you off of your money over bring you something that is worth wild, the fandom is gone. That doesn’t mean we should rollover and die as well.

Pre Poll 12/27/00 This movie has to be the most original and profound movie of Majin Planet’s existence. The song caries the action, and tell the story better than any movie I have seen or produced. There are various editing techniques used, which I had been saving for a movie such as this (those who saw the trailer know what I mean). The part I would like the viewer to take special notice to is Gohan exploding into SS2. No song in my mind could have been better for this. Powerful and dramatic all the way through, the file size is a little large (for song length and quality reasons), but I think that any DBZ fan will appreciate the power this movie conveys.

2.2.01 This is my first annoucement involving the music videos. Yes they are down, and yes, Gladiator is the ONLY music video up, Zelda was gracious enough to allow me one. So what now? Well I’ve persued many deals for space, and all have failed. I am currently involved in another…. Keep your fingures crossed. Oh, and I began my Vegeta MV

2.5.01 I have completely redone my How To Icon Guide. This one is far more specific and I hope it is more helpful. If you arn’t interested in making icons, there is a new icon of Trunks on the page. Hope you use it to your advantage.

2.5.001Good news and great news. Today I Fight Club took a MAJOR step foward with a new layout and a very motivated webmaster. I also have enlisted a new crewmember named MajinMofo. He will be creating icons for Majin Planet. He has promised 20 more once the site reaches 200,000. Here is a sample

Well I am in quite the predicament. The sites bandwidth is catastrophic… My host is raggin on me that, because of this, the servers running slow. Well to tackle this problem, I have closed the Programs section TEMPORARILY. I think I will make it so that the programs will only be open the first week of every month. I realize this is very Jewish, but to keep the site up I’ll make that sacrifice. I am looking for ways to kill some of the bandwidth this site recieves, and well, I could use some help with ideas. Email me if you think you have a good idea. Don’t worry though, the clips/ Fight Club are staying up for now. It may cost me big in the end, but I’ll deal with it.

Well the inevitable has happened. I now have a choice. Reduce bandwidth or the site is fucked. Well heres my plan to keep this site up. Each section will be up for a week at a time (with the exception of the Fight Club, which will last three weeks). I hope this will help the bandwidth problem, but it probably won’t. In any case, I am looking high and low for a new host. I won’t let this site die. I simply won’t. In all of its greatness and importance to the Music Video community, it cannot stay down. If anyone has any ideas, feel free to Email me. The voting for the Fight Club shall begin Tuesday.

I end this week’s edition of Ultimate Series with some words form Majin Planet’s past words we should all look up to and remember. It reminds us that while we may not be seen in the community as a legend anymore, many may just look past us as nothing more then a shadow of a once great site trying to hold on to what legacy we have left. Just remember that Majin Planet will and always be one big ass SOB.

You have entered Majin Planet, a site dedicated to providing the best quality DB, DBZ, and DBGT entertainment possible. My name is Majin Mebs, I own and run this site with the single intention of pleasing the fans and giving them what they want. If you are in search of information it would be wise to go and look some place else as this site is primarily multimedia based. Don’t get me wrong, Majin Planet has its fair share of information, but it is in no way trying to be a leader in the information category… at least for now. I tend to look into images, desktop functions, and most notably music videos. As most may know, I am the reviewer of music videos from other sites, as well as an accomplished creator. While 2300, non-screen captured, high quality images are nice to have, the ultimate goal of mine is to review every music video ever made (MV’s with sites I should say) and give the creators some actually well thought out criticism. Do I consider my views on music videos to be the best? No, but I do think highly of my values and ideas. Music videos are an art form, of this I have no doubt. It is through them that a creator can show the sadness of a battle, the struggle within a character, or my personal favorite the intensity between two fighters. Keep your mind open and enjoy yourself, I think you will find the hard work I have put into this site and all of its tangents more than up to even the toughest standards.
