The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

Who is Jason Bourne? This is the question which comes to mind when watching the latest installment of the Bourne Trilogy. This has been the question needing answered since the beginning of his journey. Who Am I? And who is Jason Bourne? In this, tentatively, final installment of the series it gets down to just that.

This movies starts back up right where The Bourne Supremacy left off, Bourne is still in search of his true identity and takes down anyone or anything that is in his way. Everything surrounding his true self is a mystery to Bourne but he is determined to find out. Slowly he begins to remember things about himself and slowly finds his way back to where everything started. The closer he gets to where it all began the more he realizes who he is and who he was until he eventually remembers everything.

This movie is one of the true great movies of 2007 and one of the best Action/Spy/Mystery/Thrillers of all time. The director portrays the film as it should be and throughout the whole movie you get a feel for the mental dilemma which Bourne is suffering. The more you are drawn into the story the more you want to know the truth and still not want it to end. The ending is that of what all the films in this series have had, an ending that can progress to another movie or leave itself resolved as it is. This is what makes these films so enjoyable, is that you never know if the search and hunt are over.
