Ten Reasons why the Transformers Movie will suck

Well if you didn’t know next summer the Transformers movie will be hitting theaters. This will be the first time fans will see it in live action. Now as a long time fans and someone who grew up watching Transformers I should be really happy about the movie. Overall I’m not. I’m not however like some of the fans of people who grew up watching it. I’m not about to join the message board and debate about the problems when I know out right nothing I can do to stop it from happening. I can’t even stop people from going to see it. I know I will at least give it a shot and go see it. Then I can bitch and debate about it then or if its really bad, just move on and act as if it never happen. This is my top 10 list of things I’ve notice about the movie so far from rumors, to official stuff to even leak stuff over the last few months.

Please keep in mind this is my opinion, it can change along with the movie and even the thinks I label as bad. To make it simple for readers to follow I have done it in a list type format.

1. Transformers are just that Transformers. Its fantasy, it could never happen it the real world. Meaning that some of the factors such as Transformers being really big and then Transforming into a smaller form, etc is something that don’t work in the real world. Now, so why on earth does Hollywood keep making movies from fantasy worlds and then go about telling me that “they” want to take something “that’s not real” and make it “look” real as if it was in our “own” world. Last time I check, cars don’t transform into big robots.

2. Base on Generation One, for those of you who don’t know Generation One is what fans call the first era of Transformers when it first ran in the 80s. The movie makers have told fans that the movie will be base on Generation One, however they use that term loosely and the simple fact is nothing so far seems to be base off it other then it appears to have the same plot as the show. Which is they crash on Earth long before us looking for resources. They where asleep for a long time and then woke years later.

3. Optimus Prime, if he’s not a flat nose trunk then the movie already going to suck. I’m not going to post it up but there was and I have the picture of the so called “leak” picture of Optimus Prime. Which is not a flat nose trunk but along noise trunk he has been in later series. I though it was base off of Generation One? Which he was a flat nose trunk. And what the hell is with the flames?

4. The Matrix of Leadership. There has been a debate on many boards about the name of it. Why? Because the movie makers don’t want people to get it mixed up with the movies Matrix. Anyone who is anyone who is any type of fan of Transformers knows that the Matrix of Leadership is a big part of what the show is all about. If you change the name of it or remove it because you don’t want the public to get mixed up with one good movie and two crappy movies, you need to start smoking crack, because that is out right stupid. Which brings me to my next point.

5. They want to make the movie so the general public will watch it. News flash, the only people who are going to go see this movie are those people who are in the 20s who where kids when the show first aired. You may have others who may have watch it or even people who got into anime and then got into the show in the 90s from Beat Wars and Beat Machine. Other then that the public is just going to see this movie as some sort of weird Scifi movie. They’re not going to see this for what it was. Why don’t you try to make it for those who will really enjoy this movie and not the “general public” I think its save to say that the “General Public” don’t know crap about anything.

6. Soundwave, shockwave whatever. Everyone has been jumping up and down about this character which they the movie makers have said “Oh no, its just a place holder” For who? You know you messed up by not following the story and so to get around it and get fans off you back you say its a place holder? They must think we’re stupid or something. First off if you don’t know who Soundwave it, don’t see this movie. Why? because you wont like this movie at all or you will just see it as I said before, a Scfi film.

7. Megatron can’t be a gun because we don’t want kids to play with guns. OK first off, if your worry about gun safety why don’t you try and cut kids off from the real source of guns which would be the repeat showing of them on the news and why don’t you get you teach your kids right from wrong. Guns don’t kill people, stupid people raise by stupid people do.

8. Transformers are going to be name brand cars and such. Again a marketing thing here and this doesn’t nothing but mess up the movie for the real fans I hate it when movies do such things. I mean I understand that you have to fund the movie but there are better ways of doing it then changing the story. They should pay for it, not change it to work for the advertiser. That equals a bad movie and there are millions of those already.

9. Michael Bay, I have nothing against you at all. Personally your not very good, and if I was in charge of this movie you would not be my first choice. I’m not even sure how he got put on the project to being with. Everything I’ve see form him has been half ass or nothing more then something that you watch once and then you forget about it. Every one of his movies have been military movies of some level, that I have seen. I’ve read and saw videos of filming on US bases. Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t think this movie wont be a ID4 rip but where the aliens are good. I mean this is what the “General Public” is going to see.

10. The Trailer!!! By far the worst shit I have ever seen. First off why did you even bother Michael Bay? I see it and the first thing I thought was wow, but then I look closer and see oh wait. Are you telling me its going to start on Mars? Oh then you hit it right out of the park when you release that every sense in the so called “teaser” trailer wont even be in the god damn movie. Dude what? The movie comes out in a year (from when the trailer was first released) and you couldn’t give us one little scene of what you have been doing for like a year. Spiderman 3 gave us hell of lot more and it comes out around the same time only one month before.

As you can see that lot of this is a bit being picky, but lot of it just our right stupid. If you want to know what are some signs to a great movie and one of a bad one. Movies that give you a lot of spoilers, but then hit you with a fast ball on release and they really left lot out, are good movies. Movies that give you too much are bad ones, and ones that don’t give you anything and what they do give they try to play off as rumors or in the case of this film “place holders”. The saddest part about this, is the movie will overall do well to the point where they make another one and along with it a long line of crappy anime movies.

But don’t get down, I know but hey lot of this could just be fan bull shit and/or rumors and by the time the movie comes out we could be all blow away and then this article will be a bit silly and I’ll have to listen to how I was so wrong for years to come. But hey this is Majin Planet remember. We’re allowed to be ass holes and get away with shit like this.
